Are you considering buying at auction?

We have a number of FAQs for buyers below to help guide you:

1. Can I still purchase with a mortgage?

Absolutely most auctions on our platform allow 56 days to complete. However we advise that all buyers are fully satisfied with the legal pack, have it proofread from their solicitors and have their mortgage agreed in principle prior to bidding. Do also look out for the completion timeframes on each lot to ensure you will be able to complete in time.

2. How do I download the legal pack?

Legal packs are available with every property advertised. You will need to create an account then you’ll be able to download the documents from the details property page under the legal pack section. We also advise that you watch the property which will notify you of any new documents that get uploaded, keeping you fully informed of information prior to bidding.

3. Is my deposit refundable?

As the property will exchange contracts immediately after the purchase, at that point it becomes legally binding. Any payments made are therefore non-refundable. We therefore advise you are fully satisfied, and in a position to complete the purchase prior to bidding. If you are not entirely satisfied, we recommend that you not bid.

4. What does an unconditional sale mean?

It means there are no conditions attached to the purchase or price on the fall of the hammer. Once the hammer falls, at that point you will legally enter into an agreement with the seller and will be legally pound to purchase. Neither the buyer or seller can cancel the agreement from this point as its binding for both parties.

5. Can I still view the property?

Absolutely. We encourage all interested parties to view the properties prior to bidding. Viewings can be arranged with the agents at any point prior to the bidding commencing. Look out for block viewings and ensure you have submitted/arranged your viewing request through this website.

6. Can I make an offer prior to the bidding starting?

Yes, you can. If you are looking to make a prior auction offer, do note the terms of the sale will still remain and the property will be sold under the same auction terms. A point to consider is, if you’re asking the seller to withdraw the property from the bidding room, we recommend you put forward your absolute best offer to be in with a chance of having a prior auction offer agreed. All prior auction offers must be made through this website which will then notify the seller/s of your offer.

7. Can I arrange a survey for the property?

Absolutely, and we encourage all interested parties to arrange any surveys necessary prior to bidding. This will be arranged with the estate agents during the marketing period. You can submit and arrange your inspection request through our website here.
